John Sefner

Youngstown, Ohio John Sefner, 84, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014 at his daughters' home in Prospect Hill, NC after several months of failing health. He was born in Mahoning, Ohio to the late Steven and Louise Baptist Sefner and was the husband of 58 years to Clara Sera Sefner who survives. John was a US Army Veteran and he retired after 32 years with United Engineering in Ohio. Survivors other than his wife, Clara of the home include his sons and daughter-in-law: Randall Sefner of Yanceyville, Douglas and Susan Sefner, Sr. of Burlington; daughter and son-in-law: Karen and Mike Polak of Prospect Hill; grandchildren and spouses: Douglas Sefner, Mark and Meagan Sefner, Daniel and Caroline Sefner, Karen Sefner; great grandchildren: Kendell, Andrew, Taylor Sefner and one on the way; brother: Steve Sefner of Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and four brothers. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. The family will be at the daughters home.
