Mildred Wilson

Elon Mrs. Mildred "Maedeene" Tatum Wilson, age 83, passed away Monday September 28, 2009 at Hospice Home. A native of Caswell County, she was the wife of Rev. D. Carlton Wilson, Sr. and daughter of the late Albert Berry and Annie Eudora McKinney Tatum. She was a member of Ossipee Baptist Church and a life long homemaker. She is survived by her husband Rev. D. Carlton Wilson, Sr. of the home; children, D. C. Wilson, Jr. of Weslaco, TX, Ellen Wilson Ring and husband Larry of Gibsonville, William I. Wilson and wife Terrie and Eddie A. Wilson and wife Drusilla all of Elon and Timothy D. Wilson of Burlington; 12 grandchilden and 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Alene Saul and husband Levi of Elon and Maureen Wilson of Graham. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Maureen Allred; brothers, Leonard Tatum and Floyd Tatum. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday at the Ossipee Baptist Church by Rev. Jason Wilkerson and Rev. Ray Haithcock. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. Mrs. Wilson will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until being taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. The family would like to thank Brock Building employees at Springview Assisted Living for their passionate care over the last few years.
