Richard Thomas

Richard Thomas, 88, of 132 Knox Rd. passed away Tuesday, September 09, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Thomas was born July 30, 1920 in Guilford, County to the late Andy and Lessie Thomas. Richard was the husband of the late Josephine May Thomas who preceded him in 2001. He was a retired tobacco farmer and was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in McLeansville. Survivors include a brother, J. C. Thomas and his wife Betty of McLeansville. Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, parents, two brothers, Elmer and Marvin Thomas, and two sisters, Mary Rigney and Ila Snyder. A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday September 12, 2008 at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
