Sandy Dickey

Sandy Dickey, 56, of Burlington went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 16, 2012. She was born in Alamance County and was the daughter of the late Ben Baker and Betty Baker who survives. Sandy was married to the late Raymond Keith Dickey who passed away in 2006. She was a member of Glen Raven Baptist Church and was formerly employed by Shoney's and Burlington Manor. She is survived by her children, Angela and Mark Kelley of Snow Camp, Robbie and Kim Price of Snow Camp; stepdaughter, Sheena Dickey; grandchildren, Darrian Price, Shiane Price, Dillion Price, Brianna Dodson, Becky Kelley, Holly Kelley, Mandy Dove, Sean Price, Ricky Bradham, Tyler Bradham and Matthew Bradham; great grandchildren, Austin and Alyssa Dove; mother, Betty Baker of Burlington; brothers, Jimmy and Tina Avant of Elon, Larry and Portia Avant of Durham; very special friend who she loved dearly, Judy Walker and her "special babies " Cleo and Leo. She was preceded in death by her husband, father and sister, Linda Jean May. The funeral will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Glen Raven Baptist Church by Rev. Bobby Fann and Rev. Sean Fitzgerald with interment to follow in Gibsonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7-9 Thursday evening at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of her brother, Jimmy Avant, 561 Cook Rd., Elon.
