Agnes Isley Owen

     Agnes retired as a legal assistant and attended St. Mark’s Church in Burlington. She loved her church and was a greeter there and at Elon Live. Agnes had a texting ministry contacting her friends and family each morning to encourage them. She enjoyed trips to Sunset Beach with her family, watching movies, working in her yard and being a caregiver.  She was often called “Miss Sunshine” by her family and friends for her beautiful smile. Agnes was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother.

     She is survived by her husband of the home, son, Tony P. Owen and wife, Lisa; granddaughters, Jennifer Owen and husband, Barry Dussault and Kristen Weber and husband, Master Sargent Joshua Weber; great grandchildren, Jackson Owen, Brendon Weber and Nicolas Weber; sisters, Shirley Killmeier and husband John, Geraldine Mix and husband, Tom and Faye Lucas; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Larry E. Isley and sister, Betty I. Ball.

     A service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00pm on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Gerald Collins and Rev. Bob Disher.  The family will receive friends from 1:45-2:45 at the funeral home, and other times at the home of her sister, Faye Lucas.
