Alene Tate

Alene Voss Tate, 90, formerly of Joyner St. in Gibsonville passed away Monday October 1, 2012 at the Hospice Home. She was born September 25, 1922 in Alamance County, NC to the late Eddie Lee and Rosa Voss Tate. Alene had worked at Tower Hosiery Mill and was a member of Beacon Baptist Church. She loved working in the garden and spending time at the Gibsonville Senior Center. She is survived by her brother Fred Tate of Frederick, MD, a nephew Larry Loughlin and a niece Patsy Peterson, several nieces and nephews and her many friends at Beacon Baptist Church. The service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Beacon Baptist Church, PO Box 159, Alamance, NC 27201.
