Alton Jordan

Alton Douglas Jordan, 92, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2013 at the Hospice Home after a two week illness. He was born in Camden County to the late William Parson Jordan and the late Sophia Berry Jordan and was the husband to Carolyn Marie Hensley Jordan for 30 years who survives. In earlier years Jordan worked in construction and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII. Survivors other than his wife of the home include his step son, Harold E. Huffines, Jr. of the home; sister, Jean Jordan Forbes of Camden; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Howard and Gladys Hensley of Elon. The graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, January 12, 2013 at Shallow Ford Christian Church by Rev. Dr. S. Perry. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 pm prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home of Howard and Gladys Hensley, 2790 Old NC 87 HWY, Elon, NC 27244.
