Amy Wheeley Mann, 52 went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Duke University Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was a native of Alamance County and the daughter of Connie Lee and Carolyn Roach Wheeley. She was the wife of Roger Dale Mann II for 32 years.
Amy was a 1990 graduate of Western Alamance High School and received her degree in accounting from the Alamance Community College. She along with her husband, Dale owned and operated Dale’s Towing. Amy was a member of the Burlington Ward of the Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed taking care of her grandkids and spending time at home with her family. Amy loved taking care of and spoiling people. She enjoyed family beach trips and especially sunsets and moonlight evenings. Amy enjoyed listening to Christian music and showed great faith throughout her lengthy illness.
Amy is survived by her husband, Dale Mann of the home; her son, Austin Mann and wife, Caitlin of Burlington and her daughter, McKayla Mitchell and husband, Jorrin of Burlington; her grandkids, McKinley Mann and Hudson Mitchell; her parents, Connie and Carolyn Wheeley of Mebane; her sisters Teresa Freeze of Mebane and Sheila Stanley and husband, Keith of Mebane; her brother, Tony Wheeley and wife, Romana of Mebane and numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Reid Dickens with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7PM on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
