Annette Landstra Boss, 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Coble Creek at Twin Lakes Community surrounded by her family.
She was born on November 24, 1934 in Sparta, Michigan to the late Abbith Landstra and Marguerite AdeleTraxler Landstra Gray. Annette was the wife of 66 years to the late Mitchell Melvin Boss who passed away in 2021. Annette was a homemaker and T’ai Chi Instructor.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Kristin Boss; grandchildren that she adored, Jasmine, Shantala, Breana, Brooke, Orrie and Caleb and great grandchildren, Brendan, Donavon, Landon, Salem, Reo, Lily and Caswell. Annette was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mitchell Boss, son Matthew Boss and brother Edward Landstra.
Annette grew up in Grand Rapids, MI. She went to college at Michigan State University, Hickory, NC and Martinsville, VA. She married Mitchell Boss May of 1955. They lived in Grand Rapids, MI; Atlanta, GA; Hickory, NC; High Point, NC; Martinsville, VA; Bradenton, FL; Pilot Mountain, NC; King, NC and Burlington, NC.
She loved being around water; whether it was the Ocean, Gulf of Mexico or a lake these brought her peace and contentment. She loved gardening, nature and writing poetry. The thing she loved the most in life was spending time with her family; they brought her so much happiness.
A graveside service to celebrate Annette’s life will be held at 12:30pm on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at Southern Palms Memorial Gardens in North Myrtle Beach, SC. There will also be a Celebration of Life gathering, Friday, March 22, 2024 from 3:30-5:30pm at Twin Lakes Community in the Coble Creek Building.
