Annie Key Hensley

Annie Key Hensley, 93, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. She was a native of Surry County and the daughter of the late John Henry and Mary Ellen Flippin Key.

Annie retired after 30 years with Sara Lee Hosiery. She was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed old time gospel preaching and listening to Southern Gospel music.

Survivors include her daughter, Katherine “Kathy” Seay; granddaughter, Tammy Cheek and husband, Michael and grandson, Phillip Seay and wife, Melissa; great grandchildren, Lucas “Luke” Seay, Michael Todd Cheek, Jr. and Matthew Tyler Cheek; great great grandchildren, Seth Seay, Elena Seay, Jack Seay, Christopher Gerringer, Watson Cheek and Reagan Cheek. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Benton Hensley; parents, son-in-law, Joe Seay; siblings, Charles Key, Geroge Key, James Key, Jessie Key and Stella Hensley.

A private graveside service will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026.
