Barbara Louise Ritchie Dunn

Barbara Dunn, 89, passed away peacefully at Home Place of Burlington, Sunday, July 6, 2025. Born February 5, 1936 in Alamance County to the late Larsen Odell Ritchie and Luster Deaton Ritchie.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Jerry Thompson Dunn and is survived by her two sons, Kyle and Kirk Dunn; two daughters-in-law Melissa and Selena Dunn; three grand daughters Meghan Cartwright, Chloe Collichio and Carolyne Dunn. Barbara was also a great grandmother to Finn Orion Cartwright and Kora May Collichio.

A graduate of Appalachian State University and educator employed by the Alamance County School system for 36 years at E. M. Holt. Barbara was also a devoted member of the Alamance Lutheran Church for more than 50 years.

Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
