Barbara Ann Lowe Apple Clark, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at the Hospice Home. A native of Guilford County, she was born January 29, 1939 to the late Edgar Stiner Lowe and Mozelle Apple Lowe and was the wife of 52 years to Harold Keith Clark of the home.
Barbara was an active member in church for many years. She retired from Alamance Regional Medical Center after many years of faithful service. In her spare time, she found great joy in baking and was known for her delicious jams, jellies, and various kinds of pickles. She also loved to spend time tending to her flower garden and enjoyed watching hummingbirds.
Survivors include her husband, Keith; sons, Barry Lynn Clark of Burlington, William Charles “Bill” Clark and wife Cindi, also of Burlington, Penny Clark Flythe and husband Coley of SC; grandchildren, Jason Clark (Melissa), Matthew Clark, Ashley Potter, Jessica Sides (Raymond), Jonathan Potter, Lindsey Morales (Andres); eleven great grandchildren; a brother, Edwin Gale Apple; sisters, Tempie Ruff and Lucille Richardson and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Charles Alan Clark, Clinton Barry Smith; daughter, Suzette Marie Thornton; daughter-in-law, Judy Clark; great grandson, Logan Packenham; a brother, Rastus R. Lowe and a sister, Herma King.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, February 2, 2026 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Nathaniel Hobbs with the burial to follow at Belmont Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 – 1:45 prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the residence.
