Benjamin Tracy Seawell, 66, of Gibsonville, went to be with the Lord at his home on September 1st.
Tracy was born in Greensboro on April 14, 1960, to the late Ronald Eugene Seawell and Adele Weaver Seawell. He retired from an over 40-year career in structural steel, previously working with his father and brother. He enjoyed fishing, golf, watching his favorite Tar Heels, and spending time with his grandchildren. Above all, he loved the Lord and actively attended The Way Church, teaching on Wednesday nights as well. He also helped with a group of rehabilitating addicts on Monday evenings. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many, spreading the word and love of God to everyone he came across.
In addition to his parents, Tracy was preceded in death by his brother David Seawell. He leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Evalin Seawell, his children, Taylor (Jason), and Jamie (Ashley), grandchildren, J and Charlotte, sister, Lori (Kevin), sister-in-law, Tonya, and several nieces and nephews.
His celebration of life will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday, September 8, at The Way Church at 580 NC-100, Whitsett NC, 27377, with Rex Church, Matt Clapp, and Brian Shoffner officiating. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 1:00-1:45pm at the church.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the healthcare teams at DaVita dialysis in Burlington, and UNC hospitals. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to The National Kidney Foundation of North Carolina, and St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
Tracy always believed that God would heal him, and though he will be missed, we find comfort knowing he is finally healed and at heavenly peace.
