Bernard Justice

Bernard Gray Justice, 70, of 4860 Lakeview Dr., died Friday, July 4, 2008 at his home after several months of failing health. Born in Stokes County, he was the son of the late Sam D. Justice and the late Ida Lee Jones Justice. He retired from Hendrix BBQ Restaurant in 2006 after many years service and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Justice is survived by two sisters, Lois Pruitt of Reidsville and Shirley Cox of Georgetown, SC; three brothers, Billy Justice of Burlington, Bobby J. Justice of Burlington and Sam Justice of Richmond, VA; special friends, Kathy Garris and her children, Shana Coker and her husband, Danny, and Dana Garris and Timothy Garris, all of Salisbury; and his Godchildren, Tristrina, Robbie and Teana Coker. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Louise Moorefield and Sweety Peterson, and two brothers, Dewey Justice and Robert Lee Justice. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 Sunday, July 6, 2008 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Donnie Moorefield. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 Sunday afternoon at the funeral home and other times at the home of Betty Thompson, 1903 Ashland Dr., Burlington.
