Bertha Hill

Burlington, NC Mrs. Bertha Matilda Mitchell "Tillie" Hill, 64, passed away Sunday, October 21, 2012 at White Oak Manor after three years of failing health. Tillie was born in Alamance County to the late Wallace Mitchell and the late Ollie Petty Bower and was married to the late Herbert McKinney Hill. She was a member of Guiding Light Baptist Church and worked in textiles for many years. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Wesley Holloman of Gibsonville; grandson, Gregory Van Dickey II; granddaughter, Crystal Holloman; sisters, Kay Lackley, Vicky Mitchell both of Burlington, NC; brothers, Dennis Davis of North Wilkesboro, Don Wicker of Asheboro and Tim Wicker of Arizona; special sister-in-law, Marie Thomas and husband, Paul of Gibsonville; special aunt, Dillard Smith and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Lorraine Davis, brother-in-law, Bobby Lackley and niece Kristina Yarborough. The memorial service will be held 2:30pm Sunday, October 28, 2012 at Guiding Light Baptist Church by Rev. Max Rich and Rev. Robbie Lowe. Visitation will follow at the church.
