Burlington Bertha Mae Allison Rice, age 80, of 124 Tarpley Street in Burlington, passed away Friday, September 05, 2008 at her residence. She was a native of Alamance County, born to Willie and Lucy Allison, both deceased. Survivors include two daughters: Alice Hope Rudd of Burlington, and Michele Tate and husband Jamie of Burlington; son, Mark Rice of Burlington; grandchildren, Patricia Lindley and husband Charlie, Lynette Hinely and husband Cary, Jamie Justice and husband Todd, Heather Rice, Jake Rice, Michael Tate, Will Tate, Allison Tate; great-grandchildren, Santanna Hinely, Dustin Lindley, and Ryan Justice. The funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 7th at the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Reverend Marvin Simpson. The family will receive friends from 2:45 until 3:45 prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home.
