Bette Hines

Burlington, NC Bette Hammond Hines, age 77 of Collinwood Drive passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2006 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Durham County and the wife of James Harrison Hines, Sr. who survives. Betty was employed for many years as a buyer with Sellars Department Store. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother devoting herself to her family. Survivors include her husband, daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Meacham and her husband, Michael of Gibsonville; son and daughter-in-law, James H. Hines, Jr. and his wife, Shelly of Shelby; grandchildren, Matthew Hines and Morgan Bailey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Monroe and Robenia Pickett Hammond; brothers, Edward M. and Bill P. Hammond. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
