Betty King Ector

Betty King Ector,94, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026 at the Hospice Home. She was the daughter of the late William and Eva King and was married for 72 years to Walter Ector, Jr. who preceded her in death.

She retired from Burlington Industries and was an active member of Long’s Chapel Christian Church. Betty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

Betty is survived by her two sons, Randy Ector, Sr. and wife, Diane, Robbie Ector and wife, Vicky; four grandchildren, Melissa Jenkins and husband, Adam, Randy Ector, Jr. and wife, Stephanie, Zane Ector and Tori Ector; six great grandchildren, Madison and Mckinley Russell, Gracie Jenkins, Samantha, Mason and Harper Ector; sister, Doris Cole and brother, Bobby King. She was preceded in death by her brother, Billy King, sisters-in-law, Linda and Beth King, and a brother-in-law, Harold Cole.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2026 at Long’s Chapel Christian Church with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 12:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
