Betty Landis Hall, 75, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, August 29, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born on April 26, 1947 in Alamance County to the late Raymond Landis and Margaret Stella Farrell Landis and was the wife to the late Roy Thomas Hall of 20 years who died in 2019.
Betty retired from Performance Automotive in Chapel Hill. She was a member of Swepsonville United Methodist Church; she enjoyed all types of crafts, painting, working on puzzles and puzzle books. Betty loved spending time with her family and most of all her grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Michelle Myrick Woodlief and husband Jeff; grandsons that she adored, Josh Johnson, Jeffrey Woodlief and Tyler Woodlief; her siblings, Jane Hucks and husband Jack, Carol Sherrill and husband Walt, Harold Landis and wife Judy, Nancy Ramsay and husband Tom, and Louise Collins; and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a sister, Kay Kelly.
The family would like to express their appreciation to her niece, Brenda Reese and Jeff’s mother, Brenda Woodlief for their help and support during Betty’s illness.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Lowe Funeral home Chapel by Rev. Gordon Christen and Rev. James Gardner with the burial to follow at Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 1:45pm Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service and other times the family will be at the residence.
