Billy Nance, Sr.

Gibsonville, NC Billy Norris Nance, Sr. age 77, passed away in Shallotte, NC on Thursday, February 10, 2011. He was the husband of fifty one years to the late Mary Catherine Akers Nance. Billy retired after 35 years with the City of Greensboro and was a veteran of the US Navy. He loved fishing and hunting in his spare time. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by his daughters, Sherrill Criscoe of Shalotte, NC and Mary Arzate of Sophia, NC; sons, Billy Nance, Jr. of Caswell County, Michael R. Nance of High Point and Robby C. Nance of Pink Hill; eight grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren; sisters, Elaine N. Marsh and Nita D. Rogers both of Stokesdale. A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 18, 2011at 2:00 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro.
