Bobby Garrison

Burlington- Bobby Vernon Garrison went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at the Hospice Home.

Vernon retired as a manager with UNX, Inc. He was a longtime member of Lakeview Community Church. Vernon enjoyed playing golf in a Seniors group and Seniors Softball until he was 80 years old. He loved people and was an encourager to his family and friends. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jean  King Crutchfield Garrison of the home; sons, Garry (Nora) Garrison of Florence, SC, Jay (Denise) Garrison of Fairmont and Blake Garrison of Clearwater, Fl; step daughter, Susan Oakley of Burlington; sister, Ruth Oakley of Arkansas, Jean Weather of Lakeland, Fl and Nellie Krammer of Burlington; grandchildren, Nikki Raftery and fiancee, Jeff Wright, Stephen Oakley, Jessica (Richard) Lee, Bryan Oakley, Courtney (John) Dent and Haley (Andrew) Hardy, Zackary Garrison, Alexis Garrison, Dylan Garrison, Hannah Garrison, Jaxon Garrison, Shauna Johnson and Tamara Jones; great grandchildren, Kaden Raftery, Liam Jay Raftery, Peyton Hardy, Madisonbeth Dent, Jon Grace Dent, Auron Sellaro, Connor Mahaffey and Ayden Sighter; daughter-in-law, Sheree D. Crutchfield of Elon: sisters, Ruth Oakley of Arkansas, Jean Weather of Lakeland, FL and Nellie Krammer of Burlington. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mozelle Beckom; brothers, Raymond, Odell and Aubrey Garrison

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 11:00am at Lakeview Community Church by Rev. Gerald Sanders and Rev. Alvis Alston and burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends briefly at the cemetery following the committal service.
