Bonnie Sue Barber Simmons

   Bonnie Sue Barber Simmons, 64, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2023 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital, surrounded by her family.

   A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late John Luther Barber and Phyllis Beck Barber and wife of Glenn David Simmons who survives.

   Bonnie retired from Amitech Industries as plant manager. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and the heart of the family.  Bonnie loved being at the beach with her family and spent her time in her flower garden. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.

   Survivors include her husband, Glenn David Simmons; sons: Josh Faw (Niccole) of Haw River and John Simmons (Carrie) of Gibsonville; daughter, Kristin Pertschi (John) of Elon; grandchildren: Bradley Simmons, Jacob Simmons, Lilly Simmons, Levi Pertschi and Colton Pertschi.  Along with her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Barber.
