Ms. Brenda Kay Redden-Hayes, age 63, of 7116 Ferncliff Rd., died September 7, 2012 at her home after several months of failing health. Born in Marion, NC, she was the daughter of the late James Lee Redden and the late Annie May Rutledge Redden. She was retired from Lucent Technologies with over 20 years of service and was a member of First Baptist Church of Alamance. Ms. Redden-Hayes is survived by her two sons, Brian Scott Long and his wife, Dana, of Reidsville and Charles Thomas Long, Jr. of Liberty; two grandchildren, Riley Renae Long and Dylan Bradley Long; a sister, Delia Harris of Greensboro; and three brothers, Ronald Redden of Gibsonville, David Redden of Greensboro and Bennie Redden of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Linda Edwards. The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 9, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Alamance by Rev. Joe Hicks. The family will receive friends following the service at the church and other times at her son, Brian's home, 239 Millwood Rd., Reidsville. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Alamance, P.O.
