Britt Maria Ahlander Nordh

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Britt Maria Ahlander Nordh on May 5, 2026. Born April 27, 1949, in Sweden, Britt lived a life marked by grace, devotion, and adventure.

 A devoted wife, mother, and proud grandmother of seven, Britt dedicated herself to caring for her family and creating a home filled with love and strength. She found great joy in her children and grandchildren, whose lives were deeply shaped by her warmth and guidance. Britt also had a passion for travel, visiting destinations across the world including Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico, New Zealand, Australia, and much of Europe. An avid golfer, Britt earned the title of LGA Champion and won the Alamance Country Club Ladies Championship in 2000. She also celebrated a memorable hole-in-one in 2001.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jan-Erik Nordh, and her parents, Erik Einar Ahlander and Anna Lindy Jonsson Ahlander. Britt is survived by her daughter Jessica, her daughter Linn-Marie and her husband Johan, her son Glenn and wife Jordan, and her seven beloved grandchildren. 

Britt will be remembered as a loving matriarch, talented golfer, and adventurous spirit whose legacy of love and resilience will live on in all who knew her.
