Burlington, NC Carnell Perry Long, age 91, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 30, 2012 at ARMC. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late Percy R. Long. Carnell retired from the Burlington Alamance School System in food service. She was a member of Open Bible Baptist Church and a loving and devoted wife and sister. Survivors include her sister, Theda Perry Sutton of Burlington; nephews, Joey Sutton and his wife, Brona, Mike Sutton and his wife, Nancy and Ray Sutton and his wife, Kay; special great nephew, Phillip Sutton and his wife, Paula and a special great niece, Tracy Oakley and her husband, Chris. She was preceded in death by her parents, John P. and Clara Boggs Perry and a step mother, Carrie Staley Perry; brother, Lumoas Perry and a half brother, William "Bud" Perry. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel and the burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 until 5 pm on Sunday at the funeral home and other times at the home of her sister. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
