Carol Sutkowski

A Special Life Remembered

Carol Lee Sutkowski passed away at her home on Sunday, April 26, 2026. Carol was born on May 12, 1947 in Stoughton, Massachusetts to the late Francis and Shirley Holbrook. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen P. Sutkowski, Jr. Carol and Steve were married for 38 years.

Carol retired from Legacy Classic Furniture of Greensboro, NC. Carol enjoyed reading, music, sewing, and numerous other hobbies. Reading was her favorite of recent.

Carol is survivied by her daughters, Valerie Sommerville of Texas, Shelley LaSalle (Steve) of New Hampshire, and Darlene Smith (Gary) of North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her step-son, Johnathan P. Sutkowski of Colorado. She is survived by grandchildren, Emily Smith, Anna Clark (Jared), Polly Smith (Ralph), and Clara Smith Maneval (Adam) and Keira Waller (daughter of Shaye). She was preceded in death of grandson, Aaron Smith. She is survived by great grandchildren, Dean Smith, Alexander Clark, Elijah Clark, Zachariah Smith, and Lilly Mae Clark. She is survived by siblings, Ruth Guay of Connecticut, Gail Holbrook of Texas, Kendra Judd of Maine, Heidi Holbrook of New Hampshire, and Clark Holbrook (Christa) of Maine. She is survived by her sister-in-law Kay Hardisty and nephew by marriage Gregg Rybkowski of Connecticut. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other extended family and close friends

Carol will be cremated immediately and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
