Catherine Burns

Mrs. Catherine Marie Karg Burns, age 63, of Gibsonville, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at her home unexpectedly. Born in Bellevue, OH, she was the daughter of the late Harold Gene Karg and Arrice Robinson Karg, who survives. She was married for over 42 years to her loving husband, Bobby Joe Burns, who survives. Catherine was a career homemaker, was a member of McLeansville Baptist Church and she loved being Nana to her grandchildren, who are so very special to her. Mrs. Burns is survived by her husband of the home; her mother of Manvel, TX; two sons, Robbie Burns and his wife, Heather, of Elon and Mike Burns of Whitsett; four grandchildren, Savannah, Cameron, and Caden Burns and Tyler Atkins; two brothers, David (Roxanne) Karg of Manvel, TX and Paul Karg of Lufkin, TX; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and two brothers, Ronnie Karg and Larry Karg. The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Nila Souther and Rev. Larry Tucker. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 8 PM Friday evening at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
