Cathy Rhodes Collier

Cathy Wayne Rhodes Collier, 72, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at her residence. She was born in Alamance County to the late Wayne Wadsworth Rhodes and Esther Catherine Allen Rhodes. She was married for almost 50 years to her beloved husband, Charles E. Collier who survives.

Cathy previously worked with her family for several years at their jewelry store that was located in Cum-Park Plaza. She was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church. She was an artist who enjoyed making her own paintings, especially nature scenes. Cathy also enjoyed playing the piano, cross-stitching and vacationing at the beach. She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Charles; daughter, Amy Collier and grandchildren, Caden and Kylie Alston, Katana, Kiya and Kruze Cooper.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, July 16 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Darrell Massey with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:45-12:45 Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
