Charles Richardson

Charles A. Richardson, 88, formerly of Cobb St. in Gibsonville passed away Sunday, June 18, 2006 at White Oak Manor. He was the husband of the late Helen Haney Richardson and the son of the late Bob R. and Addie Belle Russell Richardson. Charles was a retired carpenter, a member of First Baptist Church of Gibsonville, a former member of the V.F.W. and served in the U.S. Army during WW II. Survivors include a stepson Lacy A. Huffman, Jr., sisters Nina Mae Carden of Graham and Frances Johnson of Marietta, GA. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Annie Lois Richardson, Louise Hecker, Helen Richardson, five brothers, Howard H. Richardson, Russell J. Richardson, Myron Buddy Richardson, Robert Richardson, Jr. and Lester B. Richardson. There will be a graveside service 2:00 PM Tuesday at Gibsonville City Cemetery conducted by Rev. Brian Ayers. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM 1:30 PM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. and other times at the home of a sister Nina Carden, 336 Southern High School Rd., Graham. The family would like to thank the staff of The Homeplace and White Oak Manor for all the care they gave Mr. Richardson.
