Burlington, NC Charles Ralph Warner, Jr. age 89, formerly of Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia died on Wednesday, January 31, 2007 at White Oak Manor. He was a native of Richmond County and the son of the late Charles Ralph, Sr. and Minnie Lucy Brigman Warner. Charles retired from Cone Corporation after many years and was of the Baptist faith. He was a US Army veteran serving during WW II in the European Theatre. Charles was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Survivors include his step daughter, Peggy Rhames of Burlington; step son, Curtis Hart of Port St. Joe, Florida; step granddaughter, Gail Sykes and step great grandson, Ron Jordan; sisters, Elsie Wilson of Robbins, NC and Ruth Griggs of Kannapolis, NC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Magdalene Talley Warner; parents and a step daughter, Nadine Aplan. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, February 4, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at Lakeview Memorial Park by Rev. Bob Cauthren. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery office. Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory are handling the arrangements.
