Christene Baldwin Harvell

   Christene retired from Spanco Yarns in Graham and was later employed for several years as a CNA at Twin Lakes. She was a member of Gospel Roads Baptist Church and the Adult Sunday School class, where she served as assistant teacher for many years. Christene ministered to senior adults by visiting the homebound and shut-ins. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

   Survivors include her husband, Earlie “Junior” Lee Harvell, Jr.  of the home; daughter, Terri Light and husband, Tim of Burlington and sons, Ricky Wayne Edwards and wife, Sherry of Burlington and Earlie Lee Harvell, III and wife, Dawn of Gibsonville; 6 grandchildren, Shane (Melissa) Light, Michael Light, Derek (Taylor) Edwards, Blake Edwards, Brandon (Kimberly) Harvell and Ashley Harvell and 4 great grandchildren, Nathan Light, Buddy Light, Brayden Edwards and Bayleigh “Sissy” Edwards. She was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Dora Smithey Baldwin; 5 brothers and 3 sisters.

   A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Jerry Stanley and Rev. Gerald Pearce.  The burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at Lowe Funeral Home and other times at the residence.
