Carol (Christine) Church McCullock, 91, formerly of Burlington, North Carolina, peacefully passed away on July 5, 2026. Christine was born on August 31, 1934, in Guilford County, North Carolina, to Jim and Grace Church.
She was known for her strong independence, quiet wisdom, and gentle sense of humor. Friends and family will remember her for the traditions she created, the stories she shared, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.
In her later years, Christine courageously faced Alzheimer's disease. While the illness gradually took many of her memories, it never diminished the love her family had for her. They find comfort knowing she is now at peace, free from the burdens of illness, and reunited with loved ones who passed before her.
Christine is survived by her sons, Steve McCullock (Brenda), and Keith McCullock (Kathy); six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, dear friends, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Mary Church; her sister, Joanne Boone; and her brother, Jack Church.
A celebration of Christine’s life will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026, at 1:00PM at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel in Burlington, followed by a graveside service at Alamance Memorial Park at 2 pm. The family will receive friends from 11:45Am until 12:45Pm prior to the service.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and healthcare professionals who compassionately cared for Christine throughout her journey with Alzheimer's.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to a charity of your choice in Christine’s memory.
Though Christine will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in knowing she is finally at peace.
