Christine King

Christine Moize King, 83, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Mrs. King was born September 10, 1924 in Alamance, County to the late Turner W. and Margaret Shambley Moize. She was the widow of the late Walter Edward King, Sr. who preceded her in 1980. Mrs. King worked and retired in the hosiery mill and was a member of Glen Raven Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Eddie King and wife Pam of Elon; a daughter, Shelia Riley of Haw River; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two brothers, Junior Moize of Virginia, and Bobby Moize of Burlington; six sisters, Hazel Saunders, Shirley Moize, Ruth Jones, Judy Truitt, Brenda Lassiter, and Vivian Eastwood all of Burlington. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a daughter, Tammy Angela King and a grandson, Charlie Riley, Jr. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Brian Ayers. Visitation will be held 5-7 p.m. Saturday at Lowe Funeral Home and at other times the family will be at the home of the son, 109 Oakview Dr. Elon.
