Christine Smith

Gibsonville Christine "Tiny" Elizabeth Stewart Smith, 92, went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 21, 2013 at Liberty Commons. She was born in Guilford County to the late Jesse and Agnes Foster Stewart and was the wife of the late Alfred Thomas Smith. Christine was a longtime member of Gibsonville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and working with flowers. She retired from NCNB Bank. Christine was a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Tina Starr and granddaughter, Kimberly Dawn Starr. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, Cleo Patton and a brother, Vance Stewart. A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. John Shields. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Liberty Homecare and Hospice Services, 2563 Eric Lane Burlington, NC 27215.
