Clara Jean Garner McKinnon

Clara Jean Garner McKinnon, 91 of Burlington passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at Liberty Commons, cared for by Liberty Hospice. She was born in Moore County to the late Howard Melvin and Swannie Mildred Garner. She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold Edward McKinnon.

Jean retired from AT&T (Western Electric) and was a charter member of First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church/Covenant Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her son: Eddie McKinnon (Jo) of Burlington, daughters: Cynthia Garner Forrest (Tommy) of Robbins, Julie Garner Snow (Jay) of Graham, grandchildren: Amber Alexander, Anna McKinnon, Adam Forrest ( Alyce), Andrew Forrest (Jamie), John Snow (Kristen), Jack Snow (Alli), great grandchildren: Emery Alexander, James Forrest, Adaline Forrest, Abel Forrest, Audrey Snow, and Silas Snow, sister: Susan Garner (Johnny) of Robbins. Clara was also preceded in death by her brother Johnnie Darrell Garner and granddaughter Sylvia Jean Snow.

The funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, July 7 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Bryan Crotts.  The family will be at the residence on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.  There will be a private burial.
