Cynthia Lynne Hamlett, age 70, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025. She was born on October 23, 1955 in California to Peggy Joan McElyea Roberts and Vaughn Roberts.
Cindy lived a life filled with warmth, laughter, and love. She dedicated many years to her work as both a waitress and a truck driver – careers that reflected her strong work ethic, friendly spirit, and love of the open road. Whether serving others with a smile or traveling across the country, Cindy brought kindness and dedication to everything she did.
She had a true passion for travel and adventure, always eager to explore new places and experience the beauty of the world around her. Above all else, Cindy cherished being a wife to her husband, Robert “Bob” Hamlett. Her love and devotion were the foundation of her life, and she found her greatest joy in sharing everyday moments with her husband and loved ones.
Cindy will be remembered for her generous spirit, her sense of humor, and the love she shared so freely with everyone she met.
In addition to her parents, she joins in heaven her sister, Linda Jo Taylor.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Hamlett; daughter, Peggy Kilby and husband Jonathan; grandson, Zach Kilby; stepson, Dwayne Hamlett and wife Tasha; granddaughters, Ariannah and Milann; sisters, Debbie Roberts, Kathy Barden and husband Bruce, Billie Taylor, and Rita Harp; brother, Rocky Roberts; and her devoted dog Jesse.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 2, 2025 from 1:45 – 2:45 PM at Mt. Hope United Church of Christ. A celebration of Cindy’s life will be held at 3 PM following the visitation. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
