The family of David G. Cohen would like to announce his passing on June 6, 2026. He was one week short of his 96 th birthday. Born on June 14, 1930, he grew up in London, England. Against all odds, he graduated from London University with two degrees in physics. He was the first person in his family to attend university. David was a self- taught person who excelled at mastering multiple subjects: physics, history, French, and current events. He was a voracious reader. In America, he was initially an engineer for various organizations and became a programmer toward the end of his career.

Jeffrey who was proceeded in death, three grandchildren – Jacqueline, Joshua, and Stephanie and four great-grandchildren - Jessica, Logan, Giana, and Sophia. His family was his central focus. David had a very British sense of humor. He liked Monty Python and loved Benny Hill.
He had a twinkle in his eye when he told a joke and those that understood him appreciated his comedic timing. He had many hobbies that were valued by people. Woodworking, photography, and computer support for others to name a few.
He was an extremely honorable man who was honest, kind, and giving. Even though he struggled with rewarding himself, he was always charitable to others. He struggled with health issues throughout his life and overcame every obstacle withstrength and dignity. His family called him the “cat with 9 lives”.
During his final years he moved from Boston to Twin Lakes in North Carolina. There he built a life of comfort and support. He participated in many community activities and truly loved living there.
David Cohen lived a full life filled with love and accomplishment. His family is grateful for him being part of their lives.
