David George McBride, 73, passed away on October 10, 2025, at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was born on August 12, 1952, in Adams County, Colorado, to the late Harold George McBride and Dorothy Louise Wiggins.
David dedicated much of his life to his career as a Diesel Mechanic for Volvo Trucks before retiring. He was known for his adventurous spirit and passion for the open road, often found riding his cherished Harley Davidson motorcycle. He enjoyed tinkering with machines and had a particular fondness for driving race cars. His love for the outdoors was evident as he cherished moments spent in the sunshine, alongside family and friends. David's devotion to his family was unwavering, and he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He leaves behind his daughters, Patricia Kennedy (Paul), Stacy Anderson (Brent), and Kari Ward, Julie McBride and his son David Richards. David’s legacy continues through his grandchildren, Mathew, Zane, Holly (Richard), Keith, Joey (Shelly), Chloe, Jake, Devin (Carolyn), Hayley, and Stephanie (Josh), and his great-grandchildren, Declan, Hendrex, Kaelynn, Colton, Parker, Haizley, and Saylor. David is also survived by his brothers, Patrick McBride and Harold McBride.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Harold George McBride and Dorothy Louise Wiggins and Joseph Brown, who raised him, his daughter, Lisa Shinefelt, and his granddaughter, Taylor.
The impact David made on the lives of those around him will never be forgotten. He leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and cherished memories that will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Role on Daddy.
