Born in Alamance County, North Carolina, Delrita lived a life full of strength and wisdom, always laced with her wit and humor. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Delrita's life was marked by hard work and deep faith. She faced life’s challenges with resilience and shared her joys with a generous heart.

She is preceded in death by her father, Wilson Dickens; her mother, Alice Moore; her stepfather, Chester Moore; and her sister, Naomi Roberts. She is survived by her daughter, Benay Isley and husband Jerry Isley; her son, Jeffrey Cottle; her grandchildren, Cameron Isley, Erika Mendenhall, Stephanie Cottle, and Jack VanCleave; and many, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews—all of whom she adored. They will continue to honor her life and keep her spirit alive in their hearts.

A celebration of Delrita’s life will be held on June 14th, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at her home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Holly Hill Baptist Church, Burlington, NC, in her memory.
