Desmond Hopkins

Desmond Shawn Hopkins, 39, of 2129 McKinney St. passed away Sunday November 27, 2011. He was the son of Joseph Ron Hopkins and Diana Compton Mitchell. Shawn was born June 24, 1972 in Onslow County. He was a self employed carpenter. He is survived by his father of Gibsonville, mother and step-father Al Mitchell of Seabrook, SC, daughters, Jessica D. Lankford of Efland, Dallas Faith Sutton, Virginia Dene Sutton both of Mebane, maternal grandmother Mary Compton of Burlington, a sister Crystal Dawn Huggins of Randleman. The funeral will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday at Lowe Funeral Chapel by Rev. Bob Stephenson. Interment will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. and at other times at the residence.
