Donald Roy Stallings

Donald Roy Stallings, 86, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was born in Guilford County to the late Robert Roy Stallings and Lillie Margaret McPherson Stallings. He was married for 59 years to Phyllis Fox Stallings who survives.

Donald was a member of First Baptist Church of Haw River and he was retired. He was a car enthusiast and took great pride in restoring his own 1950 and 1951 Fords, which won several first-place awards at car shows. Don also liked just sitting on the front porch relaxing, visiting, and enjoying the nature and wildlife around him. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who truly enjoyed spending time with his family.

Don is survived by his beloved wife, Phyllis, daughters, Donna Paschal (Jim), Robbin Atkins (Jim Stephens), Tracy West (Donnie); grandchildren, Ricky Lee Stallings, Jr. (Tyler), Nikki Hart (Justin), Todd Atkins (Brianna), Brittany Cobb (Chris), Jessica Nielsen (Danny), Emily Atkins (Kevin), Trinity Paschal; ten great grandchildren and brothers, Robert Lee Stallings (Peggy) and Jerry Wayne Stallings (Celia). He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Ricky Lee Stallings, Sr., granddaughter, Hayley West and his faithful canine companion, “Bud”.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mark Mitchell with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at the residence. Don was not a “dress up” kind of guy and the family request that everyone wear casual clothes at the service.
