Donna Shoffner

Donna Gentry Holt Shoffner, 59, passed away Friday March 27, 2015 at Moses Cone Hospital following a brief illness. She was born March 2, 1956 in Alamance County to the late Ernest "Fireball" and Nell Tate Gentry. She was a teacher's assistant and a bail bondsman. She was a member of the North Carolina Bail Agents Association and a member of Mt. Zion Christian Church in Mebane. Survivors include her daughter Amy Holt and significant other Shannon Murrell of Gibsonville; significant other James Craig of Reidsville; grandson Asher Murrell; sisters, Bonnie Bobby Dixon of Swepsonville, Sandra Wesley Freshwater of Mebane; brothers, Tommy Gentry of Mebane, Ronnie Penny Gentry of Mebane, Danny "Buckwheat" Wanda Gentry of Mebane and loved as her own children Anthony Joy Millner and sons; Gary and Braelyn. There will be a graveside service Monday, April 6, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Alamance Memorial Park by Rev. Dave Johnson. The family will receive friends 12:30 1:30 PM Monday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. prior to going to the cemetery for the service and at other times at the daughter's home.
