Donnan Parkerson Faucette

Donnan Parkerson Faucette went to be with her Lord on August 7, 2026. She was born on July 4, 1929, to Elwood Parkerson and Ruth Teague Parkerson in Norfolk, Virginia. After a brief time in Florida, her family moved to Burlington, North Carolina, where Donnan lived for the rest of her life.

She married Ralph Faucette in 1949 and came to Christ in 1951. A woman of profound faith and blessed with a deep love for children, Donnan dedicated the next 48 years to teaching 2- and 3-year-olds about Christ’s love for them. What began with a wooden spoon she painted as a thank-you gift grew into a 40-year business in decorative hand painting.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years; her sons, Ronnie, Jimmy, and Jerry Faucette; and her brother, Dr. Elwood Parkerson. She is survived by her daughter, Diane (Don) Griffin; daughters-in-law, Jane Faucette and Regina (Jim) DeNecochea; grandchildren, Rebecca Boersma, James (Christen) Faucette, Kimberly (David) Hendry, Dr. Alan (Melissa) Griffin, Laura (William) Newsom, Kevin (Julie Hansell) Griffin, Katelyn (Sean) Culler, Julie (Kyle) Emery, and Christina DeNecochea; and sixteen great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at Beacon Baptist Church, where she was a charter member, on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
