Doris Louise Mosley Alcon, 83, of 2746 Old Hwy 87 N., passed away Monday, October 29, 2012 at her home after six months of failing health. She was the wife of the late Robert Sidney Alcon, Sr. and was born November 5, 1928 in Union, SC to the late Glen and Lottie Mae Willard Mosley. Doris had worked for Monarch Hosiery and attended New Hope Baptist Church in Buffalo, SC. Survivors include her two sons, Jackie Alcon and wife, Debbie of the home and Michael "Mike" Alcon and wife, Tammy, of Altamahaw; three daughters, Becky Johnson and husband, Robbie, of Reidsville, Bonnie Jean Durham and husband, Donnie, of Sandy Ridge, NC, and Brenda Littlejohn and husband, Clifford, of Buffalo, SC; a brother Bobby Mosley and wife, Kathryn "Kat", of Durham; two sisters, Carol Dean Kiesler and husband, Bobby, of SC, and Mary McCoy and husband, Ray "Rabbit", of SC; twelve grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son, Glen Sidney Alcon; a sister, Faye McWaters; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild. A graveside service will be conducted by 2:00 PM Friday, November 2, 2012 at Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery by Pastor Johnny Burgess and her great grandson, Ethan Alcon. The family will receive friends 12:30 -1:30 PM Friday prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory and at other times at the home.
