Doris Brammer

Burlington, NC Doris Linnens Brammer, age 71, of 4512 Ness Drive in Apex died on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Western Wake Medical Center after several months of failing health. She was a native of Alamance County but lived for the past 40 years in Apex. Doris was a homemaker and of the Methodist faith. She was a graduate of the 1954 class of E. M. Holt High School. Doris enjoyed making crafts and gardening especially growing flowers. Survivors include her husband, Thomas J. Tommy Brammer of the home; son, Jody Brammer of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy Lumsden and her husband, Gregg of Fuquay Varina, April Hunter and her husband, Carl of Raleigh; grandchildren, Meaghan Whitlock of the home, Bailey and Grey Lumsden both of Fuquay Varina, Colleen and Michael Hunter both of Raleigh; sister and brother-in-law, Ann Stadler and her husband, Virgil of Burlington; brother and sister-in-law, George A. Linnens, Jr. and his wife, Marie of Whitsett; brother-in-law, David Sims of Burlington. She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Jay Brammer; parents, George Ashley and Margaret Loman Linnens and her sister, Vickie Sims. The family wishes to thank the staff of the ICU of Western Wake Medical Center for their kind and compassionate care. A memorial service to celebrate Doriss life will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Dr. H. Sidney Huggins, III. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the funeral home. The burial will be at a later date.
