Doris Goodwin

Mrs. Doris Crisco Brooks Goodwin, 74, of 567 N. OKelly St., died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at the Hospice Home after several years of failing health. A native of Richmond County, she was the daughter of the late Walter F. Crisco and the late Bessie Callahan Crisco and was married to the late Everett Thomas Brooks who died in 1972. She was retired from Burlington Industries Williamsburg Plant and was a member of First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Goodwin is survived by her daughter, Judy Luck and her husband, Mark, of Brown Summit; a granddaughter, Lauren Lowe and her husband, Brian, of Liberty; a brother Carroll Crisco of Rockingham; and a special friend, Bill Loy, Jr. of Elon. The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, June 11, 2006 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Tim Robinson. Interment will follow at Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Saturday evening and other times at the home of Bill Loy, Jr., 567 N. OKelly St, Elon.
