Dorothy Bowers

Dorothy Kiker Bowers, 91, formerly of Orchard Dr., passed away Friday, September 25, 2015. She was born March 9, 1924 in Anson County, NC to the late John B. and Nora Curran Kiker and was married to the late Charles W. Bowers. Dorothy enjoyed doing volunteer work, spending time in her garden and canning produce. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter Marilyn Braswell of Charlotte; sons, Kevin Martha Bowers of Mebane, Steve Phyllis Bowers of Charlotte; grandchildren, Lindsay Bowers, Elizabeth Lyall, Stephanie Haigler, Jennifer Cannon and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; daughters, Evelyn Kay Bowers, Barbara Sue Bowers and four siblings. There will be a private family service.
