Dorothy "Dot" Hepler Wyrick

Dorothy “Dot” Myrtle Hepler Wyrick, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away early on January 06, 2026, at the age of 93 at Beacon Place in Greensboro. She was born on June 16, 1932, in Guilford County, to the late Robert Wilson Hepler and Omie Reid Hepler.

Dot was a dedicated and lifelong member of Gibsonville Christian Church. She loved playing cards and games, going on beach trips and gardening. Her specialty was cooking, as she worked in several restaurants in the area and enjoyed cooking for her family.

Dot cherished the time spent with her loved ones, finding immense happiness in gatherings filled with shared stories and laughter. She was surrounded by the love of her family, including her sons: Brookie Wyrick, Jr and wife, Jan of McLeansville, Barry Wyrick of Whitsett, and Gary Wyrick and wife, Kassina of McLeansville; a daughter, Sherry Wyrick Capps also of McLeansville; grandchildren: Blaine Wyrick (Teresa), Clint Capps (Tammy), Michael Capps (Toni), Ashley Wyrick, Amanda Wyrick, Zack Crews (Desa), Brian Richardson and Justin Richardson; great grandchildren: Blake and Brody Wyrick, Eden and Erik Capps and Jaxson Richardson; and a sister Brenda Oakley.

Along with her parents, Dot was predeceased by her husband, Jacob Brooks Wyrick, Sr., who undoubtedly welcomed her with open arms; a grandchild, Jeffrey Wyrick; siblings: R. W. Hepler, Don Ray Hepler and Beatrice Campbell; and a son-in-law Richard Capps. She will be deeply missed, but her vibrant spirit and the legacy of love she crafted will forever linger in the lives she touched.

A Graveside Service will be held on Monday January 12, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Alamance Memorial Park to honor her life, with a visitation to follow. Other times the family will be at her daughter’s home.
