Dorothy Moore

Dorothy Mae Martin Moore, 94, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 7, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was born in Robeson County on September 13, 1927 to the late Reedy and Ella Mae Beasley Martin.

Dorothy was a member of Glen Raven Baptist Church.  She worked as a beautician and with Annadeen Hosiery for numerous years. She enjoyed reading, gardening and trips to the beach.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughters, Bonnie Lee Hester of Virginia Beach, VA, Joyce Langley Ward (Arnold) of Burlington, Marci Lynn Forman (Garry) of Maysville, KY, Lisa Bailey Moore (Jerry) of Eden, NC; son, Ronnie Alan Langley (Connie) of Richmond, VA; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren; sisters, Delores Jean Strayhorne of Laurinburg, NC and a brother, Donald Reedy Martin (Marilyn) of Red Springs, NC.  She was preceded in death by husbands, Alfred Langley, Ray Bailey and Larry Moore; her parents; son, Jeff Bailey; grandson, Rev. Reginald Hester III; sister, Doris Ann Perkins and a son-in-law, Jim Hester.

The funeral service will be held 2:00pm on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Kevin Dunevant and Rev. Bobby Fann with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
