Dorothy "Dot" Baines Tobolski

Dorothy “Dot” Baines Tobolski, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 2, 2026.

Dot was born November 28, 1935 in Washington County, TN to Maynard Logan Baines and Sarah Eileen Phillips Baines. She worked for 30 years as an inspector with Kimball Glass Pharmaceutical. After retirement, she spent time enjoying a more relaxing pace of life, working puzzles, reading, watching sermons on Sunday mornings, and spending time with her dogs, Toby and Cooper.

Dot is survived by her brother, Arthur J. Baines and wife Frances; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Richard Fredrick Tobolski; son, Gregory Alan Tobolski; siblings, Lois “Sally” Manley, Richard Dean Baines, Wilbur “Webb” Baines, Russell “Russ” Baines, and John Harvey Baines; and her beloved canine companions, Toby and Cooper.

A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at Alamance Memorial Park.
